John qualified as a Materials Engineer in 1972 and worked in research for Taylor Woodrow, IBM and Wiggins Teape. He has been putting his practical problem-solving skills to good use in the financial services world for the past 35 years. In 1984 his own financial services firm went public and in 1988 the main trading assets were sold to Prudential.
John returned to the financial planning business with a small number of high net-worth clients and is now a Senior Adviser with Helm Godfrey. He delivers value in terms of strategy and investment performance, enabling clients to satisfy their goals. John specialises in pensions, Inheritance Tax and tax planning. He is a sought-after speaker on financial planning and has spoken at conferences in the UK, Canada, the US, Barbados and New Zealand.
