Helm Godfrey adviser Michelle Gibbs has been recognised as a top financial adviser by both her clients and industry peers in separate high profile rankings.
Gibbs has been named among FT publication Financial Adviser magazine’s Top 25 women IFAs for 2015, and made a September roundup in the Mail on Sunday of Britain’s top-rated financial advisers, having received a high volume of positive client reviews on VouchedFor.co.uk in the past 18 months.
Gibbs has been praised by her clients on the website for being “helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable”, for delivering on clients’ financial planning goals, for following up client meetings effectively with action points, for explaining financial jargon in more straightforward terms, and for her ability to win clients’ trust with the quality of advice.
Gibbs has been with Helm Godfrey for 14 years and is among an elite group of wealth managers to achieve both Chartered and Certified Financial Planner status. She joined the firm in an administrative role soon after graduating with an economics degree from the University of East Anglia and threw herself into learning and development through a combination of taking financial planner exams and building hands-on experience.
Gibbs said: “Clients are much more aware of their adviser’s qualifications and credentials than they used to be, but ultimately, they are just building blocks in shaping the holistic client experience. It feels like a real validation of what I do to receive adviser quality recognition from both my clients and the wider industry. And, of course, being part of Helm Godfrey has helped me to achieve that success.”
Graham Cross, chief executive of Helm Godfrey, said: “Michelle is leading a new generation in the financial advice market, and we are very happy to celebrate her success. It is an indicator to others considering following in her footsteps of what can be achieved.”
