Susie Foottit, Independent Financial Adviser at Helm Godfrey, has won the Role Model of the Year - Women in Investment Awards.
Susie Foottit said “The Women in Investment Awards recognises the trailblazers in the financial industry where women are currently under-represented. I want to extend my thanks to Investment Week for developing the Women in Investment Awards to address the tremendous accomplishments of women in this traditionally male-dominated industry. I am humbled to be included among some of the most passionate and visionary females working in finance today and it is an honour to have won the Role Model of the Year Award."
Graham Cross, chief executive of Helm Godfrey, said: “Susie Foottit is an exceptional IFA and she is passionate about serving as a role model for the next generation of women leaders. She is truly deserving of this award and I’m thrilled that her achievements have been recognised.”
The judges remarked, “The winner was a strong candidate that used her energy, drive and success to encourage others both within her own organisation and externally.”
Investment Week celebrates its inaugural Women in Investment Awards, which aims to recognise the achievements of women in a sector where they are currently under-represented. They also honour companies and individuals who have helped support women in the workplace and have tried to improve diversity within their businesses. The awards attracted more than 800 nominees from areas including fund management, wealth management, investment research, financial advice, investment analysis, marketing, sales, human resources, compliance, middle, front or back office within the investment sector.
